Keep the length of the sound sufficient to play. Generally it is often indicated by a symbol like the figure below.
It may also be abbreviated as ten. Specifically, it is common to play as shown in the following figure.
The horizontal axis of blue figure is time and the vertical axis is volume. If there is no other instruction, playing without changing the volume while sound is being output. The gap between the figure and the figure is the gap that occurs when sound is reapplied. Shorter is better. Staccato and slur get together, the way of playing will change a bit. Since the meaning of keeping sound does not change, it is interpreted variously such as a long staccato and a short tenut. It depends on the sense of the player as to how to perceive it.
