Orchestra method
How to write a piece of music to play in a certain organization, theory. Also called orchestration. It is mainly used for orchestra, but also for the ensemble by relatively large numbers such as brass band. Of course, it should be a theory that can correspond to any organization, but it seems that it is not used much for a small number of ensemble or solo performance. Many of the theoretical books have mainly dealt with orchestras, but some also deal mainly with brass and other organizations.
Reference book
In the book of the orchestral law by Japanese, there is "Akira Ituibu", "The Completed Orchestra Piano Music Method." Previous versions were difficult to read with many difficult kanji, but were revised in 2008. "The orchestral law W. Piston" and "Orchestral Act H. Berlioz / R. Strauss" are comparatively easy to get and content. There are books written about brass bandes such as "Arrangement for Bands - Easy Orchestration F. Eriksson / Itoh Yasushi" and "Wind Music Instruments Act Zenkoshiji". Both are out of print. In the foreign book "Principles of Orchestration N. Rimsky = Korsakoff" (There was also a Japanese translation in the past but now it is only about the library, so let's look for it) and "Treatise on Instrumentation H. Berlioz / R. Strauss" English translation of the orchestral law) and others. Both of Kindle version can be purchased for about half of paperback version.
